Questions about the Ailia Bottle + Body Strap
How does the Ailia Bottle work?
Simply plug in the charger and allow 8~12 minutes for the bottle to heat up (depending on your environment temperature). The red indicator light on the charger will switch off once ready.
Now you're ready to remove the charger and enjoy 1~6 hours of warmth (depending on your environment temperature).
How hot does the Ailia Bottle get?
The Ailia Bottle has an intelligent thermostat that automatically cuts off the power when heated to an internal temperature of 70° Celsius.
How long does the heating last once I charge the Ailia Bottle?
The ailia bottle will emit 1-6 hours of heat (depending on your environment temperature).
Once the bottle has cooled down to the optimal charging temperature, simply plug the charger back on and in 8-12 minutes it'll be ready for another 1-6 hours of heat.
Who can use the Ailia Bottle?
The Ailia Electric Hot Water Bottles are commonly used by various types of people for different purposes. Here are some examples:
1. Individuals with menstrual cramps: Women experiencing menstrual cramps or discomfort often find relief by placing the Ailia Bottle on their lower abdomen. The warmth can help soothe the pain and relax the muscles.

The Ailia Bottle providing warmth and comfort as they may have a lower tolerance to cold temperatures, and a hot water bottle can help keep them stay cozy during colder periods (PRECAUTION - elderly individuals who are unable to take care of themselves, sensitive to heat and lack relevant experience and knowledge cannot use this product alone. If you need it, please use it under the guidance of a guardian or care giver)

Will the Body Strap fit me?
The Ailia Body Strap offers customizable adjustments to cater to diverse body types and sizes. This adaptability guarantees that the Ailia Bottle delivers optimal relief and comfort to a wide range of users.
The strap's design prioritises lightweight and practical wear, ensuring that you can comfortably go about your day while enjoying the benefits of the Ailia Bottle.
The body strap's length is 120cm and does not directly correspond to a specific clothing size because it is designed to accommodate various body shapes and sizes but approximately fits between sizes XS ~ XL at the waist.
It is intended to be adjustable and versatile, allowing users of different sizes to comfortably secure the hot water bottle in place. Therefore, the body strap is not specifically tied to a particular clothing size but rather provides a flexible fit for a wide range of individuals.
For additional room we offer an extension strap that adds an extra 30cm (of usable length, the extension strap is 60cm), the total length of the body strap can be securely extended to 150cm. This extension allows for further adjustability and approximately fits between sizes 2XL ~ 4XL at the waist.
The added flexibility ensures that individuals with different clothing sizes can effectively use the ailia bottle with the body strap, providing them with the desired level of comfort and protection.
I have endo / pcos / chronic pain, can I use the Ailia Bottle?
Most definitely! Our Co-Founder Danielle is an endo warrior herself, our Ailia Bottle is intended to provide temporary relief from menstrual pain, endo pain/flare ups as well as other conditions associated with chronic pain.
How often can I use my Ailia Bottle?
As much as you like! Our Ailia Bottles have a temperature control component, the bottle will not allow you to reheat unless it has reached a cool temperature.
However, rest assured the heat is long lasting!
How long does it take to charge the Ailia Bottle?

Can I sleep with the Ailia Bottle?
No, we do not recommend sleeping with Ailia Bottle for multiple reasons.
1. You may roll over onto the bottle and increase risk of bottle bursting due to pressure.
2. WARNING - HOT WATER BOTTLES CAN CAUSE BURNS. AVOID PROLONGED DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE SKIN.
It's important to note that our electric hot water bottle should be used with caution, and appropriate care should be taken to avoid burns or accidents. Please follow our instruction label and guidelines for safe usage.
What material is the Ailia Bottle made of?
Our Ailia Bottle is made up of a 6-layer explosion proof material. The Ailia green external material that we all love is made of Flannelette.
Flannelette is often made from cotton or a cotton blend. It's soft, cozy feel makes it the perfect fabric to keep you warm, comfortable and for long lasting heat.
Overall, flannelette is a comfortable and versatile fabric that is well-suited for bedding and sleepwear, providing warmth and a soft touch.
Can I wash my Ailia Bottle?
No. Even though our Ailia Bottle is waterproof, we absolutely do not recommend machine washing.
However, you may carefully spot clean with a wet wipe.
Can I wash my Ailia Body Strap and Additional Strap?
Absolutely, our Ailia Straps can be machine washed with similar colors, on a cold wash, we recommend using a wash bag to protect the flannelette material.
Or alternatively you can spot clean with wet wipe or slightly dampen towel. No tumble dry.
Make sure you do not leave it to dry in the sun as this may cause the colour to fade.
Can I use the Ailia Bottle without the body strap?
You can use the Ailia Bottle without the Body Strap however we do not recommend using the bottle without it at the full 70° Celsius.
We need to protect our skin so adding a layer of protection when using the Ailia Bottle, is important for several reasons:
- Heat Distribution: The ailia bottle can generate significant heat, and direct contact with the skin may cause uneven heat distribution or localized hotspots. This can potentially lead to redness, skin irritation, or even burns. By using a layer of protection, such as the ailia body strap, the heat is more evenly distributed, reducing the risk of discomfort or injury to the skin.
- Insulation: The ailia body strap acts as an insulating barrier between the ailia bottle and the skin. It helps to minimize the transfer of heat, ensuring that the temperature remains within a safe and comfortable range. Without this additional layer, the skin may be exposed to excessive heat, which can result in skin irritation and potential damage.
- Prevention of Accidental Contact: Sometimes, when using the ailia bottle without the body strap, there is a chance of accidental contact between the bottle and sensitive areas of the body, such as the abdomen. This can be risky, as these areas are more susceptible to heat-related injuries. The body strap provides a secure way to keep the ailia bottle in place, minimising the likelihood of accidental contact and associated risks.
- Comfort: Using the body strap can enhance the overall comfort of using the ailia bottle. It helps to secure the bottle in the desired position, preventing it from shifting or slipping. This ensures that the heat is consistently applied to the intended area, providing effective relief from pain or discomfort.
Overall, adding a layer of protection, such as the body strap, when using a hot water bottle is recommended to ensure even heat distribution, prevent skin irritation or burns, minimise accidental contact with sensitive areas, and enhance overall comfort during use. It serves as an additional safety measure to protect the skin and promote a positive user experience.
What is the size and weight of the Ailia Bottle?
The Ailia Bottle dimensions are (270x180x50mm) which is just smaller than an A4 piece of paper and about 3 iPhones in thickness.
It weighs around 1240~1270g.
Why does my Ailia Bottle make a boiling sound whilst charging?
It is normal to have a slight smell and hear the liquid boiling when heated.
Can I travel overseas with it?
The Ailia Bottle is travel friendly in the sense that all you need is the bottle and the charger to use it (no microwaves or kettles).
Before travelling overseas or domestically via plane you must contact your airline and get confirmation from them as all airlines have different rules and regulations.
You must also take into consideration the power voltage of the destination country as some outlets may not be able to support our power wattage.
Also, you will need a plug adaptor for your destination country as our charger has an Australian plug.
Shipping and Delivery
How does shipping and delivery work?
Once your order is picked and packed (1-2 days), the journey from Ailia HQ to your front door begins. Here are the time frames:
Free Tracked Shipping on all orders and expected delivery is between 2-8 business days.
Express Shipping is available for all regions in Australia with an expected delivery between 1-4 days.
As soon as your order is sent you will receive a shipping confirmation email from us complete with a tracking number so you can follow this magical journey.
Although we require a signature on delivery, due to current COVID-19 limitations this is at the discretion of the Australia Post’s delivery driver and they may leave your package in a safe place, or take it to your nearest post office if you are not home.
Please note: We send via signature required post to ensure safe delivery - if you opt for ‘Authority To Leave’ yourself, we are not responsible for the package in the rare case it is missing or stolen.

What is pre-order?
Pre-order allows our customers to reserve their spot and ensure they get their hands on the Ailia bottle.
We know what date our stock is due to arrive, so this is the date underneath the product name.
All orders will then be shipped out to our customers on that specified date.
How much do I pay for shipping?
If you’re located in Australia, standard shipping is free on all orders.
You also have the option to select Express Shipping so you can get your Ailia Bottle even FASTER and the current price is displayed on the shipping page!

How do I track my order?
Yay, time to celebrate – it’s on its way! After we pass your order to Australia Post, we will send you a shipping confirmation email which will have a ‘Track Order’ button. This will take you directly to the Australia Post site so you can follow the live tracking updates!
Haven’t received your shipping confirmation email yet? Your order may be on pre-order, as confirmed on the website at time of purchase. Be sure to check your original order confirmation, you won’t receive a shipping confirmation email until that pre-order date.
Help, I think my order is lost/hasn’t been delivered?
Think your order might be lost in transit? Although Australia Post quote us 2-8 business days for standard delivery, sometimes life happens and they aren’t able to deliver within this timeframe. When this is the case, your tracking number may show a ‘delayed’ delivery date.
If your order isn’t delivered within 20 days, please contact us and we can launch an investigation with Australia Post.
*Please note: For any queries or issues related to your Australia Post order, we recommend you first reach out to Australia Post directly. While we understand delays are frustrating, we are required to work within Australia Post’s processes. Once you have contacted Australia Post directly, let us know and we can contact them on your behalf to try and resolve any issues ASAP.
Can I change my shipping address?
Oops, Ailia not being sent to the right address? We can absolutely help change this for you! Provided your order has not shipped, please send us the new details and we can change this over for you.
If your order has been shipped, don’t panic! You can still redirect it via the Australia Post tracking link we provide on your shipping confirmation email.
*Please note: We can only send your order to the address you provide on your order - if you have provided an incorrect address, and the package is delivered there, we are unable to retrieve it so please check your address carefully!
Do you ship internationally?
We currently only offer shipping in Australia and New Zealand.
However, we are working on all the logistics behind the scenes and hope to ship to more countries soon!
Are there any customs/import fees?
All of our Ailia Bottles are shipped right here in Australia, out of our little HQ. This means there’s no need to stress about any customs fees, as it’s shipping from your own backyard.
Same goes for NZ.
Returns and Exchanges
Do you have a returns policy?
We offer free returns for 30 days from date of delivery/receiving of order.
However, not all items are eligible. Any exclusions will be called out on product pages and / or at checkout. To be eligible for a return:
1. Item(s) have to be initiated for return and placed in the post within 30 days of the delivery/receiving of order.
2. Item(s) were not marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” at the time of purchase, unless faulty.
3. Item(s) must be in the original packaging, which must be in original condition.
This includes undamaged owners manual, charger zip lock bag, charging cord wrap and any additional extras to be eligible for a return. You will be asked to put your photography skills to the test and provide a photo of your item prior to sending it back to us so we can assess the condition (Youi won't judge you don't worry).
How long do I have to return my Ailia Bottle?
We know the drill – you’ve been needing to return it, but life gets in the way. We are happy to help you return that one, and offer a 30 day return period for you to make that tough decision! Please refer to ourrefund policyfor more information.
Can I return my order for a refund?
Sadly, we know that sometimes the Ailia Bottle is just not quite the right fit for some people. You can certainly return your Ailia Bottle to us for a full refund, provided it is returned within 30 days.
Please note: Not all items are eligible for return. Any exclusions will be called out on product pages and / or at checkout. All Ailia Bottles must be returned in as new condition, with an undamaged owners manual, charger zip lock bag, charging cord wrap and any additional extras to be eligible for a return.
Please note: If you are returning one of your items from a bundle, your order is no longer valid at that bundle pricing.
Do I have to pay for returns?
Yes the customer will cover the return shipping costs.
Original shipping charges (such as express/international shipping and import taxes) will not be refunded.
Please note: Not all items are eligible for return.
How long does it take for my return/exchange to be processed?
We are working hard behind the scenes to get the Ailia Bottles in and out of our HQ. We strongly encourage that you send through a photo of your receipt from the post office as proof your return has been lodged.
As soon as we have this information, we can action either your exchange or refund immediately! If you forget to grab this receipt, we will just need to wait until that one gets back to our warehouse before we can go ahead.
How long does it take for my refund to be processed?
We’re sad to see you go! Should you receive a refund for your order, you will receive an email confirming this has been processed from our end. From there, it will take 2-5 business days to process into your account, depending on your bank. If it takes any longer than this, we would recommend contacting your bank or merchant (eg. Afterpay) directly.

How secure is my payment?
Your privacy and security is our highest priority. We use Shopify Payments which is an extremely secure and highly encrypted system designed to protect customers and also hold merchants accountable.
What payment types do you offer?
We accept the good old-fashioned methods of payment, such as credit cards (Visa/Mastercard/American Express) as well as debit cards that can be used for online transactions. If you’re a bit more tech-savvy, we offer Paypal, ShopPay, GooglePay and ApplePay too!
Need a little longer to pay for your Ailia Bottle order? We offer Afterpay payment plans for Australian customers only.
Do you have payment plan options?
For when payday is just that bit too far away, we have 2 payment plans available. You can select from either Afterpay or Paypal Pay in 4, provided you are located in Australia.

How do I use a discount code?
Woo, it’s on sale - so you’re basically saving money (at least, that’s what we tell ourselves when something is on sale). Simply head to the checkout, and on the first page of the checkout there will be a box for you to enter your discount code in - make sure to click ‘Apply’! This is offered before the payment page so you’re totally aware of how much you can save.

I have an issue with my order, what can I do?
Something not quite right with your order? Don’t worry, please contact us immediately to advise of the issue, and to help resolve things quickly we request you include photos so we can help identify what has happened.
I need to cancel or change my order!
These things happen! Please email us immediately with the subject line CHANGE or CANCEL and we will do our absolute best to carry out your request. If it has already been dispatched, you will need to go through our returns process.
As we do our best to get your orders out to you as soon as we can, occasionally an order will be processed before the team has a chance to change it. We cannot guarantee a change of order after the order is placed so please select carefully.
